Roman Aqueduct - it is an ancient water structure, believed to have been part of an old irrigation or water supply system — its arched stone design gives it a Roman-style appearance, making it one of the unique heritage spots in the region. Sarovar kachodi centre - This popular shop located near the bus stand area. Serve the kachodi with 2 chutneys. State museum Jhalawar - It showcases the rich history and culture of the region — featuring ancient sculptures, rare inscriptions, coins, and artifacts from the Jhala dynasty and nearby archaeological sites. Here we also see the Bhawani Natya Shala in Jhalawar is a historic theatre built in the early 20th century by Maharaja Bhawani Singh. It was one of the few theatres in India designed for live performances and stage plays, showcasing the royal family’s love for art and culture. Sun Temple Jhalrapatan - It is also known as the Padmanabha Temple, is one of the most beautiful temples of Rajasthan — built in the 10th century, it’s dedicated to Lord Surya and is famous for its intricate carvings and grand shikhara. Tariff: Rs 5,300 for double occupancy with breakfast Day 2 Date of Journey - 18th Sep 2025 Gagron Fort - On the second day, our route takes us to the legendary Gagron Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounded by the Ahu and Kali Sindh rivers — a rare fort built with water on three sides and hills on the fourth. While crossing Changeri village, we discover the fort’s proximity, just 2 km away, but due to the high river flow, we take an alternate 10 km route via Jhalrapatan. At Gagron, we uncover its rich past — from the 1423 battle of Raja Achaldas Khinchi, the tragic Jauhar of Rani Kamlavati, to its architectural brilliance. Finally, we continue our road trip to Rawatbhata, about 90 km away, and conclude the episode with a visit to the stunning Badoli Group of Temples, known for their ancient Pratihara-era sculptures and the remarkable Andhakasura Vadh depiction.
