Ożywcza, pełna ducha i odurzająca to tylko kilka słów opisujących muzykę tego młodego i prężnego jamajskiego artysty reggae, jednego z największych odkryć jamajskiej muzyki ostatnich lat. Samory I obecny jest na lokalnej scenie reggae od 2015 roku zdobywając uznanie jako "Break-through Artist of the Year". Jego pierwszym międzynarodowym wydawnictwem był singiel "Sceptre" wyprodukowany przez Russa Disciple z Wielkiej Brytanii. Rok później świat usłyszał go z niemieckimi producentami Silly Walks w "I am Gad". Ponadto "Take me Oh Jah" i "African Daughter" były przebojami na międzynarodowe radiowych falach. Przełomowym momentem w jego karierze była praca z uznanym jamajskim producentem Rory Stonelove. "Daje nam spojrzenie oczami młodzieży z getta we współczesnych czasach" - skomentował Rory na początku tego nowego rozdziału. Ich pierwszy singiel, "Rasta Nuh Gangsta" (2017), stał się natychmiastowym hitem (prawie 4 miliony odsłon!) i jest prawdziwym manifestem przeciwko brutalnym postawom gangsterów. Debiutancki album "Black Gold" został wydany przez wytwórnię Black Dub w marcu 2017 roku. Wśród wielu znakomitych piosenek znajduje się tam także wyjątkowy cover "Is it Because I'm Black" Syla Johnsona - arcydzieło historii muzycznej walki o rasową równość. Reggaeville.com skomentował album: "Płyta reggae w najbardziej elementarnej formie gatunku. Bez łatwych tematów piaszczystej plaży i słońca, bez błyskotliwych nalotów na popowe rynki. Ciężkie, boleśnie szczere korzenie, które Samory przemienia się w prawdziwy memoriał historii, z której narodziło się reggae - muzyki cierpienia.” Po światowym sukcesie płyty Samory’ego można było zobaczyć latem 2018 na najważniejszych europejskich festiwalach takich jak Reggae Sun Ska, Rototom Sunsplash czy Boomtown. "Call on Jah" na rytmie nagranym w Hiszpanii przez muzyków Najavibes i zmiksowanym przez Roberto Sáncheza oraz "Feeling" z powracającym za mikser Rory Stonelove, to jego najnowsze produkcje. Po raz pierwszy witamy w Polsce jednego z najlepszych nowych artystów Jamajki. Samory I has been present on the local reggae scene since 2015 winning the recognition of “Break-through Artist of the Year”. His first release was “Scepter” SP produced by Russ Disciples from UK. A year later the world could hear him with German producers Silly Walks on “I am Gad”. Also, “Take me Oh Jah” and “African Daughter” hit the international airways.
