In a nutshell; Delisava was considered as lacking variety due to its dull taste compared to other sweet varieties. And prior to patoz machine, delisava husk-kernel separation was much more difficult compared to Foşa, Mincane, Palaz etc. species. This was until 70s which patoz machine was intorduced and supply chain have decided that they didn't mind dull taste of Delisava. Nowadays renewed orchards in Sakarya region prefer to plant Delisava variety due to its resistance to early spring frost and higher yield. It is also less prone to periodicity of yield. They also favour from uniform harvesting timing, since different cultivars have different harvesting period.
