His EDM work winning him several American Music Awards and MTV Europe Awards. Avicii - seen here playing Brooklyn, New York's Barclay Center in 2014 - quit touring two years later, penning a letter to his fans and telling Billboard magazine it was for health reasons. In 2013, Avicii underwent surgery for a ruptured appendix and a blocked gallbladder. He also suffered from acute pancreatitis, due in part to excessive drinking, according to the magazine. Avicii died in Oman's capital of Muscat. No cause of death was given, his publicist saying, 'the family is devastated.'
