Death metal, punk, hip hop, oi!-music… Drug abuse, prisons, Bin Laden, the U.S., EU riots… “Under the dark sky of the nation” is a documentary portraying a shattered Sweden, focusing on those people that the community classify as dangerous. “Under the dark sky of the nation” was the first movie that Renzo Aneröd and Bo Harringer did together. The idea was born in 2000 after the newspapers were increasing it’s moral panic against subcultures that grew stronger during the disastrous nineties, much depending on the disastrous politics that had created a new alienation and greater fragmentation in the society than in a long time. “Under the dark sky of the nation” was invited to Miami International Film Festival and competed in their World Documentary Competition The winner of Audience award 2004 on Gävle Filmfestival. Also nominated in the category Best movie. Nominated to “Gulddraken” 2004 by The Göteborg International Film Festival
