The BIGGEST TREE I've Ever Cut / 150 Years Old Spruce / Future Log Cabin Lumber

!NOTE that this tree was wind broken I didn't take it down! I've seen this huge tree broken by the wind at the beginning of the winter last year and I had to take it out before it gets warm in insects start to attack it. It's one of the biggest trees on our property, it was 40m high,1m in diameter at the base of first cut and around 150 years old. I needed several days to take out the logs and clean all the branches. I had the helps of the rest of the family while cleaning the branches and it still took a considerable amount of time just to clean one tree. I never had to deal with a tree of this size before, it was absolutely huge and an it was an honour to take its parts to create lumber for future log cabin projects. It was also sad at the same time seeing it go, I would never cut trees this size, the biggest I've cut for the log cabin was around 50cm in diameter.
