Beds are in need of a weed so I spend the first part of my day taking down nets and preparing the beds for planting. It will be a week or two before the first planting so I will get another chance to clear any new flush of weeds then. One thing that has been growing alongside the weeds in the raised beds is a whole load of self sown poppies.Mrs K has been working on the bed in front of the raspberries and although we are not doing anything major in that area she has been weeding and planting so I can add the poppies to that area.Before working in the Polytunnel there were a few jobs to get done one of which was removing the flower heads on the Rhubarb, the flower just detract from the growth of the edible stems and are best just removed. A quick look at the fruit garden reveals good growth on most of the tress and bushes. 3 Houses and changing rooms is what I titled this vlog , you will see why. The strawberries are doing really well and my experiment to over Winter the plants in last years baskets is revealing the way forward.
