Video Transcript: hey guys what's going on it's the digital tutor here with another step-by-step tutorial and in today's video i'm just going to show you how you can research your youtube recommendations so what i mean by this is if we come across to your web browser and we go across onto youtube.com you will see it's going to start to come up with a load of videos that it's going to recommend to me and this is all based on what i've watched on youtube so if i was watching in our videos on dogs then a lot of dog videos will come up here now what you can do to reset that is if you come across and click your icon up here and then come across to this button here which says your data in youtube and then you want to scroll down until you get to let's have a look a minute uh this one here watch history youtube watch history so your recommendations are all based upon what you've watched so what youtube videos you've watched would influence what appears on your homepage now to get rid of this what you need to do is click just underneath click here what you can do as well is actually switch this off if you don't want to use the watch history you can pause it so that's going to stop in future from giving you recommendations on the home page but to get rid of the recommendations completely and reset what you need to do is scroll down a bit and come to this tab here which says manage activity i'm going to go ahead and give that a click and then you want to go down and there's the button here which says delete click that and it's all works like your internet history you can choose how to delete so you can delete the last hour the last day all time etc etc um in this example because we're going to be resetting which going to go ahead and click onto all time and then it's just going to basically ask you to confirm it's going to actually come up every single video you've ever watched um so you can confirm that if you want but you you know if you're happy you just go ahead click the delete button here and that will actually delete your watch history completely and then when you next come across to youtube.com uh all these recommendations they would all be different because it's been reset so i hope you found that helpful and if you could like the video drop a comment below and subscribe to the channel i do upload videos daily with tutorials how to's tips and tricks for all things digital and tech related so if that's your thing subscribe to the channel and i'll see you on the next one
