Let me start out by stating that I am not a professional, I am recent pool owner. I wanted people to learn from my mistakes and get a better understanding for how a pool works. Specifically that there is a lot involved in maintaining a pool and its probably better to get a professional to maintain it. But it's also important to have a basic idea of how your pool system works so you can be sure that the professional is doing a good job. Sorry that this video got cut short, my phone ran out of space, but I was definitely wrapping things up. Important: One thing that I forgot to mention is that the DE powder gets introduced into the system 1 scoop at a time through the skimmer intake. You add the powder and wait for it to be sucked in, then add more. For my pool I have to add 6 scoops after a full filter cleaning, but if you're just back-washing the filter then you only need to add about 2 scoops.
