IITA Inbound Operator Members - Lena Ross, COO, America 4 You and Gisa Hanson, VP of Contracting and Product Partnerships, AlliedTPro, shared high-level insight into the current state of the European inbound market, including: 1. Current Performance Across European Markets We reviewed what operators are seeing in key markets such as the UK, Germany, Italy, and the Nordics, including early booking patterns, areas of strength, and markets showing hesitation. 2. Factors Influencing Traveler Sentiment Panelists discussed the biggest drivers shaping 2025–2026 demand, including cost sensitivity, political climate perceptions, and how those pressures vary across markets. 3. National Park Fee Changes (2026) A major portion of the conversation focused on the upcoming NPS fee structure and how it is affecting both FIT and Group bookings. This remains a central industry concern and an area where continued clarification and advocacy are needed. 4. Shifts in Destination Interest We explored how fee changes and pricing pressures are influencing itinerary design, including declining interest in some Western park regions and growing opportunities in other parts of the country. 5. Upcoming Global Events Panelists shared insights on the level of interest (and challenges) related to FIFA World Cup 2026, as well as emerging opportunities such as the Route 66 Centennial. 6. What Destinations Should Prioritize for 2026-2027 Planning The session closed with practical guidance on communication, pricing, partner readiness, and how destinations can remain competitive during a softer year and beyond.
