Note-Orious were unable to meet during the summer of 2020 - here is our contribution to the world of virtual choirs! From a Distance, by Julie Gold. Arranged, taught, learnt and performed at a distance. Arrangement by Rose Martin. Video editing was done by James Martin. We are raising money for the wonderful charity, Redthread with this video. As we are unable to get out and fundraise in our usual manner (singing at people and then handing them a bucket!) we would love for people to make a donation directly to Redthread and mention Note-orious in the comments. Redthread runs a drop-in centre in Streatham, which provides young people with access to support and advice from specialist youth workers, counsellors and GPs. They also manage a project based at King’s College Hospital to improve the care of adolescents, as well as a Youth Violence Intervention Programme. COVID-19 has disrupted life as we know it, and in these times of uncertainty and change young people need the support of Redthread more than ever. Their youth workers are still supporting and engaging with young people remotely. Redthread have launched a COVID-19 appeal and whatever you can give, it will go towards where it’s most needed in ensuring young people can be healthy, safe and happy during these challenging times.
