We went to Amritsar, Punjab. We visited Golden temple, formally known as Sri Harmandir Sahib,is the pre-eminent spiritual site and holiest gurdwara in Amritsar, Punjab, India. Founded in the late 16th century by Guru Ram Das, this stunning, gold plated temple sits in the centre of holy lake and is open to people of all faiths. It is home to the original holy sikh scriptures and features a famous community kitchen that feeds thousands daily. Then we went to Jallianwala bagh (garden) next to the Golden Temple. Which is known as Amritsar massacre, took place on 13th April 1919. A large crowd had gathered at Jallianwala bagh in Amritsar, Punjab, British India, during the annual Baishakhi fair to protest against the Rowlatt Act and the arrest of pro-Indian independence activists Saifuddin Kitchlew and Satyapal. Brigadier- General Reginald Dyer with his army blocked the exit and ordered them to shoot at the crowd. Estimates of those killed vary from 379 to 1500 or more people, over 1200 others were injured. After that, we went to explore around tge market and had fun, Hopefully you all will enjoy with us.
