In this video Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman explains the age old question of why bad things happen in a world controlled by a God who is good and loving. He also talks about why bad things happen to good people and how we should interpret anything bad that happens to us. We find ourselves in a very special and complex system that gives us a freedom of choice to choose between good and bad, and which actually allows us to become like God. God is a global, universal force that controls all of reality. Both the good and the bad is sustained by him in order to lead us to the recognition of good and evil. Because we are sentient beings, God uses these two forces- good and evil, to influence us and push us to change. Were he not to influence us in both these ways, we would not have free will to choose between good and bad or even go beyond good and bad. Also in the video, find out why God himself is good, but our oppositeness does not allow us to experience it this way. What is the good that God wants and how can we adjust ourselves to want it too? The wisdom of kabbalah helps us do this. By working together in a small group we can realize the laws of God’s comprehensive nature. We become increasingly integral and global in our approach. This is the way to end all suffering. When such a development of consciousness happens globally, as is intended in the process of our evolution, we will return to being one unified soul, one desire and intention, with God residing within us.
