Have you ever asked yourself, "Does God really need me?" Well, that question has been the subject of debate throughout history. Some say that God doesn't need any specific earthling to do anything--"Much less little ole' me," some might say. No, in the broad scope of things, God the Father is the King and Supreme Creator of the heavens and earth, and of everything and everyone in them, He is the Great I AM Who spoke the world into existence by His own Word (Genesis 1). Except that He chooses to use us to do things on earth to strengthen our faith, He doesn't really need any of us to help Him accomplish His proclamations and decrees, to be carried out on earth. And our Lord Jesus surely doesn't need us to help Him hold up the universe by His Word of Power (Hebrews 1:3). The truth is that God could do all things in Zion and on earth supernaturally-- by His Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). But He chooses instead to use His children and angels to do the "leg work for Him. So, when we get down to making sure that our Father's daily instructions are carried out as well as the charge Jesus gave us before He was crucified and returned to Zion, we know that He chooses to use us (Matthew 28:18-20; John 14:12; Acts 1:8), God searches the hearts of His children and very much desires to prosper us when we carry out His specific instructions and become willing vessels-- His instruments, to ensure that His Word that goes forth from His mouth does not return to Him void, but accomplishes what He intends for It to do (Isaiah 55:10-11). In the same manner, Jesus designated some of His unfinished work for each of us to do while we are here on earth, It gets specific as to what God has declared and predetermined for each of us to do by putting our faith to work here on earth. God expects each of us to take care of the assignment we have been given and which He has declared; and for us to step forward and readily accept it (Isaiah 6:8). If we don't, God will get someone else to do it. Queen Esther was given the opportunity to serve God at a designated time and in a designated place to save the Jewish race (Esther 4:13-14; Ecclesiastes 3:1). And she was equal to the task, but if she had not used her faith to do so, God would have found another to save the Jews from destruction. So, we must be awake and alert to hear the trumpet call-- we dare not allow it to be an indistinct sound (I Corinthians 14:8); and we know that we must stay awake spiritually; we don't want our soul to prevent us from answering the voice of God calling out our own name (Song of Solomon 5:2-8). We dare not miss our opportunity to serve the Kingdom-- knowing that God will find another to carry out the assignment He has appointed for each of us to do. My website: http://mount-up-to-zion.com
