So Today we're going to change the rear brake pads on a Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200. This job took me 20 minutes even while recording video, so it should be a much faster job for you. This is the shaft driven bike, 2016 model year, obvious due to it's single sided swing arm. The mandatory tools you will need are as follows: 15mm 6-point socket (12 point will work but can damage the wheel nuts) good strong ratchet wrench torque wrench with a range capable of 17Nm to 70Nm Long 5mm allen key / wrench / hex key or a 5mm hex drive for the ratchet wrench Long 6mm allen key / wrench / hex key or a 6mm hex drive for the ratchet wrench Brass wire brushes to clean the pistons (steel brushes will scratch them) G-clamps or similar devices to push back the pistons Nice tools to have -- Copper slip, copper grease, moly slip etc -- philips head screwdriver to remove reservoir cap -- A work light -- Anticorrosion Spray (I use ACF50)
