Amplifying Voices is a series of fireside chats which highlight the work of entrepreneurs and innovators who are tackling major social issues impacting the Caribbean region. In this 4th episode, I spoke with Sheneille Gayle - a dynamic young lady who lost her vision in late 2019 due to a benign brain tumour. Consequently, this left her wondering what she was going to do next but fortunately she learnt about screen readers from some friends and this motivated her to take classes which equipped her with the knowledge that she needed to be able to use her phone and computer again. Sheneille has since moved on with her life and she is currently studying a degree in information technology. Additionally, she has started Thee Quinn to offer helpful tutorials for the blind on her YouTube channel.
