"(A7) Fiddler’s Green: An “Irish” pub that’s about as Irish as green beer on Saint Patty’s day." Fiddler's Green was an Irish pub ran by veterans of the South American wars. Despite being advertised as such, some considered the establishment as "Irish" as green beer on St. Patrick's Day. Fiddler's Green was staffed by owner Kate Mulvaney (who could occasionally be seen moping the place), her wife Audrey, and their extended family. The pub was usually open from 11:30am for lunch hours, and served classic American-Irish food such as corned SCOP on cabbage. It was a lively but not overwhelming locale full of military and PMC veterans looking to unwind. Kate herself is a former panzergirl and named Fiddler's Green for the place "cavalrymen supposedly go to after they die." For local edgerunners, it was a good place to pick up the gossip and hear about gigs. Kate operated a poste restante service for various mercenaries, holding mail for them until they came to pick it up.
