Discord: / discord Twitch: / nobuwastaken IGN: NobuWasTaken Business Email: [email protected] The clip at the beginning is from a very scuffed recording of a level cap run I did to test the new Ember build. In it, I mainly use the Ocucor—a notoriously mediocre weapon for level cap—to see how strong the new Ember interactions really are. Spoiler: a 10 million heat proc in one second of shooting is very impressive. So what are these new Ember interactions, and why am I doing another Ember video? Simply put: they fixed/buffed her Fireball Frenzy augment. After the 1999 update, they made it so the heat buff from the augment doesn’t combine with modded elements, which was a good change. However, the new heat buff had a bugged DoT—using the base heat multiplier—which made her damage really underwhelming. As of Techrot Encore, that bug is fixed, and not only that—it got a new functionality: The augment now multiplies the heat DoT, meaning it’s not only a 100% heat buff, but also a 100% heat DoT multiplier. I’m also running Roar to triple-dip on all of that. How do you take advantage of this change? Strength—lots of it. In the level cap run, I also noticed that since heat has a built-in crowd control effect, Ember has very few survivability issues. So I just ran Fast Deflection because I was lazy, but Rolling Guard works great too. Weapon pairing? She works best with hybrid-stat guns. I mostly used the Ocucor because it’s one of my daily drivers and—again—I’m lazy and don’t want to aim. Archon Shards? Completely optional. You can do many different things here. You could remove Transient Fortitude and swap duration shards for more strength, but I recommend running at least one casting speed shard, just in case. Healing Flames and subsume choices? Healing Flames is fine, but since I didn’t have survivability issues during the run, I found it a bit redundant. As for subsume slots, you’ve got a choice to make. Both her 2 and 4 are basically useless, but there’s a strong argument for replacing her 4 instead. Her 2 is a no-cost channeled ability, which means you can activate Seismic Bond and some Incarnon perks that require a channeled ability to work. But ultimately, just subsume over whichever one you dislike more.
