UPDATE 8/9:25: Finally installed, tested, and ready for pickup… followup video shortly! UPDATE 7/25/25: Brand new engine arrives in NY at BMG Powersports from Aprilia in Italy! Now to get it installed and tested 🤞🏻 UPDATE 7/9/25: Additional teardown and pictures of the situation was requested by Aprilia, BMG Powersports fought on my behalf that at minimum an entire engine replacement was required, after reviewing the information Aprilia have agreed to replace the entire engine 👍🏻 UPDATE 7/3/25: After new flash installed which allowed the bike to run there was a missfire on cyl 1, seems a valve retainer failed (or improperly installed at factory)… they are continuing to tear down 😢 Treated myself to a 2026 RSV4 as a birthday present after test riding a 2024 model at Americade last year and on 6/21/25 after months of wailing she arrived from Italy… a moment of such excitement that lasted just 12 miles. At that point the machine started making weird sounds, stalled, and would not restart leaving me stranded in the middle of an intersection! Thankful for the family that was watching it all go down as they came and helped me push it to the side and brought me some water as I waited for the tow vehicle (it was 95* that day). We shall see what they say the problem is… either way I am quite disappointed and had several much needed drinks…
