Jalandhar Police bulldozes smuggler’s home in Jalandhar’s Army Enclave area

Operation Prahar continues in full swings across state and administration continues its war against drug traffickers. Continuing their streak, the Jalandhar Police and Municipal Corporation teams raze home of a smuggler in the Army Enclave area under Dhina village in Jalandhar. During the operation, the police also raided gun shops and several licences were revoked, nineteen arrests were made in two raids and a total of 150 grams of heroin and 2.5 kilograms of opium was recovered. The smuggler whose house was bulldozed in Army Enclave has been identified as Amarjeet Singh who had been served notice several times before regarding the illegal occupation. ATP Vikas Dua informs that the accused was summoned for a hearing but, he failed to appear at the office and also was not able to produce any documents regrading the ‘illegal’ building. Consequently, this action was taken by the police today. Jalandhar Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kuar, who also arrived at the scene says that this action was a part of the ongoing anti-drug campaign of Punjab. #latestnews #newsupdate Like what you see?
