This is REBEL, a palm-size sensor deployed directly into concrete, which allows it to "talk". Once poured, the sensor relays real-time information and uses artificial intelligence to analyze the mixture. The technology will allow engineers to estimate better when fresh concrete is mature enough to open roads to traffic safely.
