History of Paradise Mazda

Paradise Motors was establiished in 1956 by the late Reg Neale (1934-2023), at the age of 21. Reg purchased the business from his employer after completing his apprenticeship. Originally a small workshop and service station employing a staff of three, Reg took on the Volkswagen Franchise and has since developed Paradise Motors into the successful business it is today after becoming a Mazda-only dealership in 1979. Today the dealership is known as “Paradise Mazda” and stands proudly where it was originally founded on the corner of Lower North east Road and George Street in Paradise. Through good management, careful planning and great customer relations, what began as a small family-owned and operated car yard in Paradise, has grown significantly with over 80 staff members and a yearly Mazda sales target of over 1,700 cars, compared to the 1979 yearly target of 72 cars. Not only was Reg involved with the business for over 65 years, many of the Paradise Mazda team members have been working for the company for over 20 years, some even over 40! Remaining in the Neale family, the business is now run by Reg's son Jeff Neale (Dealer Principal), who has worked in the business his entire working life. Ben Neale (Jeff's son, Reg's Grandson) now holds the position of General Manager, making Paradise Mazda a true family owned and operated business.
