Growing up in segregated Little Rock, Arkansas, Raye Montague faced the hurdles of being African American, female, and having a segregated education while pursuing her dreams of becoming a Naval engineer. Through hard work, perseverance, and refusing to take "no" for an answer, Montague became a Naval engineer, and ended up revolutionizing the way ships and submarines are designed.
