After finishing up my coil build workshop video here at Vape Pro Selden, a customer asked to purchase Ni200 coils for his Arctic. The shop manager Ari asked him what he was using to power his Arctic tank and he showed us his Cloupor T8 which he was very proud to have purchased for $90 recently at another shop. Looking forward to trying out Ni200 and almost stepped right in front of the bus. Ari was not familiar with the Cloupor T8 and asked me if it has Temperature Control. We were fiddling with it, trying to change the power setting and I figured I'd look up the instructions on how to switch it over to power mode. Now here's the problem. It is NOT a TC mod. The Cloupor T8 boasts a 'CPU temperature control system' . IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT IS NOT FOR TEMP CONTROL AS WE KNOW IT. That is an internal chip temperature to keep the mod from overheating and blowing the circuit board. It's Over-heat protection. Granted, they claim it is a sophisticated heat protection, as that had been a problem in previous devices of theirs blowing up from overheating. But I'm furious that the product packaging and website claims it is Temp Control. Tyree, a nice guy who shops at local B&M's around here, trusted the employee at the vape shop. And the vape shop employee thought, from reading the misleading specs on this device, that the product offers Temp Control for safety in vaping with Ni200. It does not. So I recorded a Video. Shame on you Cloupor, you can fool some of us, but we learn quickly. I hope anybody that purchased this product gets the message quickly. The Arctic Ni200 coils are .2 ohms resistance, and just about any regulated mod will power that build. Tyree was lucky. This shop asks their customers what they will be vaping Ni200 coils on, and makes sure they understand about Nickel. Some shops don't know. Please lets tell them. And quickly!
