(22 Aug 2018) At a coffee shop in Wisconsin, people who voted for Donald Trump say they are still supportive of the president even after his personal lawyer pleaded guilty to finance violations and his onetime campaign chairman was convicted for financial fraud. "It's like when gangs are intimidating people. By threatening to harm their friends, associates, family members. And so in other words the message they're trying to get out of it is 'If you associate yourself with President Trump, if you try to protect him or speak well of him in any way, if we can get back at you, you're in trouble. We'll throw you in jail for the rest of your life. We don't care at all," said Trump supporter John Trapp. In another part of the country, Victoria County, Texas, people there overwhelmingly voted for President Trump in 2016. More than 2/3 of the voters pulled the lever for the Republican nominee. Small business owners Dale Zuck says despite the bombshell legal news about two former associates of Donald Trump, he still supports the president. "Does it shake my opinion about Mr. Trump? None at all. All I know is that Victoria County economically is a whole lot better than we were six and a half years ago," said Zuck. Barbara D'Angelo, an Ohio woman who voted from for Trump says the latest news about Cohen and Manafort is just another way thing that separates the Republicans and Democrats. "I just think there's too much infighting between the Republicans and the Democrats. I really think that they are, it seems like the only time they get together is when there is a war," said D'Angelo.
