How do you talk with your child about taking care of their Intact or Uncircumcised penis? In this Sex Ed Talk for Parents, I explain the importance of talking about basic hygiene with your young child as well as how to talk about proper care of an intact or uncircumcised penis. Many parents need to have this talk with their child with a penis by the primary and intermediate age since that is when many children notice the natural separation of the foreskin from the head of the penis. It is part of the basic genital hygiene for kids to learn and parents may feel unsure or uncomfortable on how to go about starting this conversation.
