West Indies moved one step closer to assuring themselves a Super eight spot after trashing England at the Wankede Stadium earlier today. The Windies coming off a test opening match against Scotland needed a performance and the got one today. After losing the toss and starting shakily with the loss of Brandon King and Shai Hope within two balls of each other. The men in maroon put their foot on the gas as Shimron Hetmyer and Roston Chase repaired the early damage and quickly set about upping the tempo. Hetmyer, after smashing two sixes and two fours fell to a Jamie Overton slower ball for 23 as he looked to maximize the power play. Chase continued to play steadily but got brilliant googly from Adil Rashid and was trapped dead in front for a well made 34. Pacer Jason Holder was taken for 24 in the second over by Phil Salt who looked like he was in the mood to finish the chase early. Holder was replaced by first match hat trick hero Romario Shepherd who struck almost immediately. Salt who has three T20I centuries against West Indies was looking to up the ante when he tried to force a good ball from Shepherd and was caught in the deep by Rutherford. Roston Chased replaced Akeal Hosein at the other end, and he removed perennial danger man Jos Buttler. Jacob Bethel walked and looked like a man on a mission until he was rushed by Gudakesh Motie and lost his off stump. Movie went on to pick off skipper Harry Brook and Tom Benton to break the back of the England chase. Motie would finish with 3-33 as the Windies spinners would combine to take 6 wickets. Sam Curran tried to keep the English run chase afloat but frequent wickets
