Digital Music Box - The Premiere

Imaginando proudly presents: ‘Digital Music Box’ an artistic journey to reinvigorate creativity and to cultivate imagination. (Experience the full journey here:    • Digital Music Box - The Premiere  ) Inspired by Braga’s rich cultural history, we wanted to fuse the style of vintage furniture with our own modern synthesizer technology, whilst recreating the enchantment of a classic music box crank, for a powerful interactive experience, both visually and sonically. We believe it is important for us to support to Braga’s bid to become UNESCO's Creative City of Media Arts, and as such, this is Imaginando’s contribution to Braga's Media Arts portfolio. This project was developed as part of the Laboratórios de Verão 2017 initiative, funded by Fundação Bracara Augusta and promoted by gnration. Home to our headquarters, it is also the stage for exquisite cultural programming, including SEMIBREVE festival. The 'Digital Music Box' will make its public debut at ‘Noite Branca’ festival, 1st and 2nd of September, in the heart of Braga's city center. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the unique audio and visual charm which radiates from our beloved machine. Why not try cranking out some wonderful tunes yourself, from 8pm-11pm (Friday) and 4pm-8pm (Saturday).
