Guitar Pop Song "Home" by Basmer

This is the guitar pop / reggae single "Home" of the album Basmer - "Music". After I wrote the original music for this song I noticed, that it was actually quite close to a very famous tune that just everybody knows. So I couldn‘t take it as it was. It didn‘t even have that Reggae feeling to it yet. So I experimented a bit, came up with a few different chords and the final result came out totally different from the one I first wrote. As I liked the result and also like that kind of music, I decided to keep it. The lyrics are reflecting a personal experience I had back in 2015 or so. At that time I was traveling on business almost a whole summer so that I spent full three months away from home. While I really like to explore foreign countries and cultures and meeting people in person, it is a big difference if you spend your time just traveling between the hotel and the office or if you actually have time to roam and explore. The song was recorded, mixed and mastered in my little home studio using Cubase.
