How I spent the new year's eve, hike on the mountains :-) This year it was a bit darker, less people .. met a Fox, Heavy rained, snowed Graz, Schoeckl Night hike, New Year`s Eve at Schöckl. This year a less used track I used It is getting a habit that I spend my new year`s eve in the Nature. I started relatively late, and it takes 1 hour by car to get to the starting point (Schöcklkreuz). It was around 22:00 when I started to hike. It was about 400m ascent to reach the Kapelle. after midnight I have seen the private fireworks, than I went to the Cross. Graz home mountain in Austria called Schöckl. Easy to access with car, many variation of hikes, from a few hours long to the all day hikes. It was about 8 km mini hike. I started from the Schöcklkreuz.
