Las Vegas Film Locations Las Vegas Serial Killer 1987

First in a series of Videos Highlighting Movies that captured Las Vegas on Film. Now, Ray Dennis Steckler was an Exploitation filmmaker, mainly known for such genre fare as "The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies," & "The Hollywood Strangler Meets the Skid Row Slasher." What some locals may not know, however, is that Ray moved to Vegas in the '80s and shot many "No Budget" Horror and exploitation movies here in the Valley. "Las Vegas Serial Killer" (1987) Showcases Pure Vintage '80s Vegas, with some incredible Las Vegas Strip footage. The Main Street for Vegas Entertainment, seen in the film, is virtually unrecognizable today, in 2020. I wanted to show two specific locations, seen in "Serial Killer." One is the Loma Vista Shopping Center, on 4500 Meadows Lane, just off of South Decatur, and The Corner of South Eastern Avenue and Tropicana. Both figure prominently in the feature, and I hope Locals can appreciate the look at each location, way back in 1987, and what those locales appear to be today. The Loma Vista Center, especially, once was home to such awesome businesses as "Toys R' Us," & "Home Express." Hope this is enlightening to fans of both "B-Movies," and curious residents of Las Vegas. Note - I do not own the rights to this film. It is the property of Mr Steckler's Estate.
