[SWITCH ON SUBTITLES] ‪@girlsinhawaiibe‬ Girls in Hawaii live in concert at OM in Seraing, Liège, Thursday 2023-11-23 - They called it "Try Out" as it was added as an afterthought once the tour was well set up and selling out, as a starting concert a few days before the actual tour. The reason they set it up was really that I posted on Facebook that they should come to the east of Belgium so that lazies like me who don't want to drive all the way from Germany to Brussels could see them. And hey, it worked ;-) I must say that now I would not hestitate to drive all the way to Brussels any more. Unfortunately all four shows are sold out there. "Try Out" turned out quite ironic - this was a f***ing perfect show, music wise, but also the venue, the lights, the sound, the crowd. (Only the T-Shirt were not ready for merch.) So I am more than glad that I came. I read about them only a couple years ago as a recommendation in the Youtube comments on a video from another cool Belgian band Bed Rugs (   • Bed Rugs - Piles (Official Video)  ). So I've been listening to a couple of songs here and there, but only seriously started to scan their albums when the tour was anounced. So I knew all the songs they played today. Except one from the Misses single ("Words Are in the Woods", 2013) and two that are actually new, "Goddess", and "N.H.R.N." - I guess we'll only find out what that stands for when a new album is released. All the songs are good, and some are really good. So the show was like a perfect record that you can listen to from start to end with fascination :-) Thanks for playing, Girls, and come back soon!
