On 25th August 2025, I traveled on 267UP Rawalpindi Passenger from Rawalpindi to Havelian, the last railway station of Pakistan in the mountains. Havelian is a charming city located in the Abbottabad district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, nestled in the scenic Hazara Division. The journey itself was unforgettable. Once the train began rolling, the real magic unfolded... lush green hills, monsoon-fresh landscapes, flowing riverbeds, and peaceful villages along the route. The Hitachi locomotive added nostalgia to the trip with its unique sounds and classic railway feel. Covering this 3-hour scenic journey, I experienced pure serenity, from chatting with locals on board to watching the rain-soaked countryside pass by.
