A quick and dirty upload of a Randall V2 head into a Randall RA412XLT Vintage 30-loaded cabinet. Obviously not the best method of recording an amplifier, but I got it sounding pretty decent in the room (albeit low volume) after a day or so of playing with, so chucking up a video with some settings can't hurt as there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of chatter about these amps. I've tried to run the gamut of a few different playing styles in an attempt to show the way the amp is reacting, so ignore the senselessly garbo riffs. This thing is a super tight, high gain 'hybrid' amplifier, with both a solid-state and a valve-driven preamp into a massive solid-state power section. The channel I'm using in this video utilises the solid-state preamp. I find channel 3 (Tube OD) to be far more catered to lead playing, with tonnes more midrange. The amp doesn't really take too kindly to TS9 style boosts - it throws the already very complex-sounding mid frequencies for a loop - so this is just the guitar straight into the amp. My preference is towards a more saturated gain sound, and this thing is very dry and tight, but wholly unique sounding.
