On Saturday 1st February, the Young Bell Ringer's Facebook Group visited Worcester for the first group outing of 2014. Barbourne: An excellent 10cwt 8, cast by Taylor's in 1929 and recently transferred from the too-weak tower at Halewood, Mers (where a much lighter 6 has been installed in place.) Once a few finishing touches to the installation and the ringing area have been implemented, they will be even better! All Saints: A pleasant 20cwt 12, 3-9 by various Rudhall founders, with a Mears tenor and augmented to twelve by Whitechapel in 1977. Very clear acoustically and I loved the blue and orange sallies!! Start and finish of some Yorkshire Max brought round with Little Bob... Old St Martin: A modern 6cwt 10 installed below the unringable 6 (which have been preserved in their weak frame above the modern installation.) I liked the multitude of sally colours here!! I'd have filmed outside (where they sound better) were it not so windy! Thanks to Laura for an excellent day out. My video of the Cathedral bells (where we finished the day off in fine style) can be found below: • The Bells of Worcester Cathedral
