Discord:   / discord   In February of 1862, the Confederate Army of New Mexico under Brigadier General Henry Hopkins Sibley launched an offensive into the New Mexico Territory with the aim of invading and capturing the Union states of California and Colorado. General Sibley seeks to secure the wealth from Colorado's gold mines, as well as the port facilities of Los Angeles, California, to help further the Confederates' cause and continue the war. On March 26th, Union forces under Colonel John P. Slough and Major John M.
