Cleanaway had a variety of trucks operating in the Albury Wodonga region previously, with a mix of single axles and bogies, some had dark blue bodies and others were coloured entirely light blue, plus there was a range of build year models amongst all the vehicles. The first truck I came across during my visit there is seen in another video of mine, which is a 2007 Superior Pak ACCO collecting the recycling. The next day I came across what was almost an identical truck also fully painted in Cleanaway’s symbolic light blue, only this was a 2007 model with the facelift cab. In this video we take a look at this very side loader which worked in Wodonga during the previous collection contract, being used for the weekly garbage service. I was outside the yard watching the trucks departing on the first morning, giving me a glimpse of what was being run in the area, but it was still dark so I didn’t realise the featured truck was around until I saw it in daylight. I can’t recall seeing one of these ACCOs totally done up in the old Cleanaway scheme, as these models were mainly produced for the company with dark blue bodies and white cabs following the Transpacific buyout. Anyway it was cool to come across something a bit different, I reckon it looks pretty sweet! After my activities in Benalla and Wangaratta earlier on that Wednesday morning, I passed through the quiet and newer area of West Wodonga on the way back up north in the afternoon. I quickly came across this truck tipping the red lid bins, with an operator going very easy on his machine, not full throttle between every house. Towards the end two other trucks rocked up to help out knock off the work, which are seen at the end - you’ll hear three different Cummins engines at work too! These days the fleet is primarily Superior Pak Dennis based, with some of the ACCOs still around as spares I believe.
