"CLUTCH", one word I would describe this rare Changi Branch Line (CGL) deployment. After a long day of trainspotting the PM peak hour deployments on the North-South Line (NSL) with some other trainspotters, I went home happily and decided to edit some of my newly filmed videos for the day, when SUDDENLY, I received an update on a KNS train running on CGL. It was kind of an unexpected deployment, as usually CGL only deploys KHI trains, and maybe SIE trains too (mostly 201/202 and 237/238). Since I was very unprepared for this deployment, I had to quickly shower and eat a fast dinner before leaving the house and taking bus 858 towards Changi Airport, only to realise that the train had swapped TRN from T103 to T102, meaning that it was going to withdraw at around 2230 hours 😭😭😭. Of course, time was not on my side and I was afraid that I might not make it on time to catch the train before it withdraws, but thankfully I managed to 🙏🙏🙏. Boarding the train, I thought that it would depart once the doors have closed, but I was wrong, as the train literally stayed idle for almost a full 2 minutes before departing CG2 Changi Airport, so you might see some "fast forward' moments in my video to quickly get to where the train moves, where you could hear yet another amazing KNS motor by the one and only "JACKPOT KNS" itself. Anyway, it was really a clutch that I managed to catch this train, as the last time this particular set ran on CGL was like.... quite a few years ago.
