Welcome to KAZAKHSTAN! 🇰🇿 Today, we're escaping the city and heading up into the stunning mountains of Kazakhstan for a visit to the crown jewel of Almaty - Big Almaty Lake! 🏔️ Big Almaty Lake is a must visit attraction if you are planning a trip to Kazakhstan. Without going here, your trip is definitely incomplete. One of the most beautiful lakes in the entire world, this is a lake that is famous for changing its color depending upon the season. From emerald green in June to turquoise blue in September and completely frozen in the winters, it just keeps on changing. I visited the lake in April and experienced for the first time in my life, a completely FROZEN lake 🥶! The lake remains frozen until the start of May and if you love snow, then April and May start is the perfect time for you to visit. If you want to experience the beautiful colors of the lake then visit after mid of May.
