A nurse was on TikTok live last night doing med pass, She violated HIPAA by saying a patient’s name on live. She said she could say the name but as long as yall don’t see them, she’s okay. She also stated that she’s been a CNA and now LPN for almost a year. She knows about HIPAA and was blocking ppl for showing concern. Not paying attention, she made a medication error. Talking about “it’s just a lidocaine patch.” ???? You’re still giving it to someone at a time they’re not supposed to be receiving it. What if it was something more harmful??? Then she started talking about the CNAs she worked with as if they weren’t busy with her own things because she had to go get ONE set of vital signs. It would seem to me you have all the time in the world because you have time to prop your phone up and have a conversation with strangers instead of taking care of your patients.
