Apostle Grace Lubega Genesis 25:21 (KJV): And Isaac entreated the Lord for his wife, because she was barren: and the Lord was entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.” — Life presents challenges that test our faith, and how we respond to them matters. The Bible offers a striking contrast between how Isaac handled his wife’s barrenness and how Abraham and Jacob responded to similar situations. When faced with Sarah’s barrenness, Abraham blamed God. He said, “Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir. (Genesis 15:3). His words reflected frustration. Jacob’s response is to be found in Genesis 30:1-2. The Bible says, “And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die. And Jacob’s anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God’s stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?” However, Isaac responded differently. He did not blame God or react in anger. Instead, he turned to the Lord in prayer, and as a result, God answered him, and Rebekah conceived. Isaac’s response should be our model. When we face difficult situations, we should neither blame others nor question God’s faithfulness. Instead, we must turn to Him, knowing that He alone holds the power to change our circumstances. Prayer is not our last resort—it should be our first response. No matter what you are facing today, remember this: God is the ultimate solution. Turn to Him and by Him, you will fix that situation. PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. I know that when I call upon You, You answer. Nothing is impossible with You. I choose to look to You as my solution in every situation because You are faithful. Just as You proved Yourself in the past, I trust You for my future. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
