In this video recorded at our branch in Epworth, Harare, the sermon as described in the title "Komborera Baba Hushe Ndewenyu" reflects on the blessedness of the Father whose Kingship belongs to only Him. In the sermon, the preacher speaks of the coming of the Word of God to his people. The people must return to where the Word first established itself among them. So, as people search for truth, they sing for answers (Baba tipeiwo mhinduro). God will bless Africa as is suggested by the verse sung during the sermon (Baba Komborera Africa). The preacher also speaks about the gathering previously held at Macheke. There is historical significance to Johane Masowe and Marange at Macheke which is pertinent to the founding of our church. However, there are those who are chosen and assigned to delve into spiritual aspects of these and other sacred places. Thus, the wise understood the significance of these sacred places and left the ceremonies to be done by the ordained. The verse "zvichatora makore..." tells us that it will take the people years upon years to know Him. "Him" in His Trinity is unfathomable to us, hence the verse. But due to the limitations of time, we cannot genuinely grasp the word. Impatience of the people has led many so-called messengers who preacher about prosperity to mislead the people yet the mysterious nature of the Creator requires patience. The preacher specifically speaks of the seals as described in Revelations 7:3. This is what transpired at Macheke. The Macheke event was announced very loudly and clearly but the people heeded not. So, the verse "Nyenyedzi yemanuwero" talks of the star of Emmanuel revealing itself. Well, at the Macheke gathering, many stars were seen to reveal themselves during night prayers in what turned out to be an amazing Heavenly display. The verse " Anonyaradza denga..." then tells us that it is He who silences Heaven who we all undermine. So, those who attended Macheke saw a miraculous blessing and the preacher implores the congregation to keep their faith and hold fast in their hearts. As such, the people should thirst no more for the saviour is here. The sermon ends with the verse "tichadada nezwi..." meaning that we will proudly rejoice in the Word of God as if we purchased it with cattle yet all we did was have faith. 🙏
