Does your mouse ever feel just a little behind your hand? Or maybe your aim feels floaty, like the screen is always one step behind your brain? That’s not always your reflexes — it’s your GPU’s hidden frame queue.
Both NVIDIA and AMD drivers buffer extra frames by default, which adds latency. Every queued frame = extra delay between your input and what you see on screen.
In this video, I’ll show you how to:
Unlock hidden NVIDIA & AMD registry settings
Force true Ultra Low Latency Mode globally
Override Windows GPU scheduling for faster input response
Validate results with CapFrameX & RTSS latency overlay
🛠️ Commands & Paths Used:
🔹 Open Registry Editor → Win + R → regedit
NVIDIA Registry Fix
Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services
vlddmkm\FTS
Create DWORD: EnableFrameQueue → set to:
0 = Disable queue (lowest latency)
1 = Default (queues up to 3 frames)
2 = Adaptive mode
AMD Registry Fix
Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video\{GUID}\0000
Create/modify DWORD: FlipQueueSize → set to:
0 = No frame queue (lowest latency)
1 = Queue 1 frame (balanced)
2-5 = Default behavior (adds input lag)
Windows HAGS Tweak
Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers
DWORD: HwSchMode → set to:
2 = Enable Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling
1 = Legacy scheduling (adds buffering)
Validation Tools
CapFrameX → enable “Input Lag / Frame Latency Overlay”
RTSS / NVIDIA Profile Inspector → set “Maximum Pre-Rendered Frames = 1” & “Low Latency Mode = Ultra”
🚀 Steps Covered:
Test baseline latency with CapFrameX
Apply NVIDIA registry tweak (EnableFrameQueue)
Apply AMD registry tweak (FlipQueueSize)
Override Windows GPU scheduling (HwSchMode)
Fine-tune with NVIDIA Profile Inspector or Radeon Tweaker
