Welcome to Part 1 of the Roxas Boulevard Heritage Walk — a slow, cinematic, no-talk ASMR journey along Manila’s most historic waterfront. This episode takes you through the northern–central stretch of the boulevard, where art, monuments, and bayfront renewal blend into one unforgettable walk. We begin at Dancing Rings, the dynamic sculpture by internationally awarded artist Joe Datuin — a symbol of movement and modern Filipino creativity. From there, the walk leads you to Museo Pambata, housed in the 1910 Elks Club Building, the Philippines’ first interactive children’s museum and a beloved cultural space for generations. A few steps away stands the Dolphy Statue, honoring Rodolfo “Dolphy” Quizon, the country’s Comedy King, sculpted by Jonas Roces and unveiled in 2013. Moving south, the walk reaches the Fernando Poe Jr. (FPJ) Monument, a tribute to “Da King,” a Filipino cinema icon whose films and values shaped decades of storytelling. Next is the Manuel Acuña Roxas Monument, honoring the post-war president and namesake of the boulevard. The route then opens up to the wide expanse of Dolomite Beach, part of the ongoing Manila Bay Rehabilitation project — a modern, much-debated addition to the shoreline. Further along are two powerful monuments: the Salvador “Doy” Laurel Monument, commemorating the 1986 People Power co-leader and champion of legal aid, and the Jose P. Laurel Monument, honoring the wartime president whose complex legacy remains central to Philippine political history. This entire walk lets you absorb natural ambience — footsteps, ocean wind, city sounds, and Manila Bay’s timeless horizon. 🎥 Never miss our full walking tours! 📍 Subscribe for more street stories: / @manilaunlocked 📘 Unlock your Manila Survival Guide: tinyurl.com/mlaunlckd #roxasboulevard #philippines
