Sven was raised by a Polish family in Germany. His biological father, who came from Afghanistan, left before he was born. At the age of seven, Sven learned the truth about his origins — and from that moment on, his life changed. Growing up as a person of color in a Polish household in Germany, Sven experienced discrimination, exclusion, and constant questions about where he truly belongs. He never fully felt German, never fully felt Polish, and was often reduced to labels he didn’t choose.
