I am out continuing my exploration of the hidden Gems, Oddities and History in the County of Surrey and in this Vlog, I’m taking a walk around the Village of Compton near Guildford. This charming Village with the busy B3000 Road running through it, has many listed Buildings and apparently has Surrey’s oldest Church of St Nicholas with foundations dating from Anglo-Saxon Times (and possibly earlier). I also walk up to the famous Watt’s Gallery, an Art Gallery dedicated to the work of the Victorian-era Painter and Sculptor George Frederic Watts (1817 – 1904).
