Norwegian Soldiers from our NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup Lithuania enhancing combat readiness in a shoot house exercise. In shoot houses, Soldiers fire live ammunition into targets or dummies as they clear rooms. The exercises also present Soldiers with shoot-or-don't-shoot scenarios. From catwalks above the shoot houses, commanders and instructors observe the exercises while video cameras record the units' performance for After Action Reviews (AAR). The soldiers train in shoot houses the close quarter battler (CQB). This is the fight of more than one man against opponents at close range. Following the experience of modern operations, where average combat distances are becoming shorter and shorter, usually as short as 30 meters, CQB training is becoming increasingly important for military forces of all branches. #NATO #eFPLithuania #Forsvaret
