Xu, MD Division of Regional Anesthesiology & Acute Pain Management, Department of Anesthesiology Westchester Medical Center/ New York Medical College Valhalla, NY, USA • Patients undergoing lumbar laminectomy have often carried the additional diagnosis of chronic pain and have high baseline opioid requirements, which make postoperative pain management more difficult. • Lumbar Paraspinal Interfascial Plane (PIP) Blocks, including Lumbar Longissimus Plane (LLP) Block and Lumbar Multifidus Plane (LMP) block, both are target only the dorsal rami of the thoracolumbar nerves, it has been performed for postoperative pain control on lumbar laminectomy. • This video shows ultrasound-guided Lumbar Longissimus Plane (LLP) Block and and Lumbar Multifidus Plane (LMP) block on Lumbar Laminectomy surgery.
