What if a Socialist America invaded Brazil in 1960?

What if, instead of the left protesting the Vietnam war, it was the far right? That is what would happen in this alternate history; Krasnacht, as a Syndicalist United States of America, struggling with its ideological identity, has resolved to shatter the citadel of reaction in the western hemisphere, the Integralist Empire of Brazil. By doing so, they have triggered a crisis where the Catholics of the United States are feared by the revolutionary americans as a fifth column, causing a societal crisis between loyalty to the workers revolution and the religious freedoms of the old and new americas clashing with eachother. Will the Americans defeat the empire? Or will they be bogged down in an elongated conflict, bogged down by the Amazon Rainforest? What sort of political resistance would form in the USA given their new ideology? Are Syndicalism and American culture actually compatible? How will this invasion play into the greater conflict between the International Forces and the Saratov Pact?
