Adani Group Vs Hindenburg: Is your money safe in LIC and SBI?

The Supreme Court mandated the formation of a committee on Thursday that would be led by former SC judge AM Sapre and include KV Kamath and Nandan Nilekani to investigate the recent decline in Adani Group stock that was brought on by claims of fraud made by Hindenburg Research. SEBI, the market regulator, has been tasked by the SC with wrapping up its inquiry in two months. Additionally, it has requested that SEBI look into possible stock price manipulation and possible violations of Section 19 of SEBI regulations. Former judges AM Sapre, KV Kamath, Nandan Nilekani, Somasekhar Sundaresan, OP Bhat, and retired Judge JP Devadhar will be on the expert panel. The SC further stated that the committee's mandate will be to investigate the Adani controversy, advise ways to improve statutory frameworks, and suggest measures to do so.
